Home Of Western Artist Donny Marincic

Donny Marincic grew up on and later operated my family’s ranch along the Green River in northwestern Wyoming. After a long day trailing cattle to the mountains in the spring or irrigating hay for winter feed, Donny would often sketch out the scenes and people of that day.

Now retired from ranching, Donny reflect's back on those scenes and marvel at the spirit and energy of the animals and people in the high plains of Wyoming. Donny like's to capture this spirit and passion in bright splashes of color.

In 1993 Donny's brother talked him into driving his covered wagon across the state of Wyoming for the reenactment of the 150 year anniversary of the pioneers traveling the Oregon Trail. That trip perked his interest in the trails forged by the pioneers who settled the west. In 1997 Donny traveled the 1200 miles of the Mormon Trail reenactment and in 1999 He and a friend Ben Kern put together a wagon train and traveled 2200 miles following the California Gold Rush trail from St Joe, Missouri to Coloma, California.

Donny hope's that his paintings inspire in you the same spirit found naturally in the open spaces of Wyoming. As for him and his pony, they’ll be just over the next hill.

Her childhood summers, spent with her beloved grandparents on their remote ranch in western Wyoming, had been carefree and happy so the opportunity to visit the ranch, on her way to Jackson to find a job, was a comforting thought.

Summer And Sagebrush Author Helena Linn

"Kate, there are miles of sagebrush all over this prairie, and you want me to plant some in the yard?"
